This study examines students’ perceptions of the integration of general and religious learning at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Qomar Palembang. The research aims to describe the implementation of integrated learning between general subjects and Islamic studies, analyze students’ perceptions toward this integration, and identify factors that influence their learning experience. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach through field research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Madrasah Aliyah students as research subjects. The data analysis process included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the integration of general and religious learning has been implemented through a balanced system where students attend general academic classes at the madrasah and participate in religious learning activities within the pesantren environment. In general, students have positive perceptions of this integrated learning system because it broadens their knowledge, strengthens religious understanding, and contributes to character development. However, some students still experience difficulties in linking general knowledge with religious concepts. Supporting factors include an integrated curriculum system, a conducive boarding school environment, and the role of teachers, while the main obstacles include dense learning schedules, limited time, and differences in students’ learning abilities. Overall, the integration of general and religious learning helps develop students who possess balanced intellectual competence and Islamic values. This study contributes to strengthening the understanding of students’ perceptions as a basis for developing more effective integrated learning systems in Islamic boarding schools.
