This study aims to comprehensively analyze the concept of ta’dib in the thought of Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas, examine the application of the concept of ta’dib, and explore its implications for the development of Islamic education. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research through conceptual analysis of al-Attas’s major works and relevant literature. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. To identify its novelty, a bibliometric analysis approach was employed, specifically using the VOSviewer software combined with Open Knowledge Maps. The results indicate that the concept of ta’dib constitutes an integrative educational paradigm, positioning adab as the core of shaping knowledgeable and morally upright individuals, encompassing the processes of Tarbiyah and Ta’lim within it. The application of the ta’dib concept begins with the formation of a monotheistic worldview, the structuring of the hierarchy of knowledge, the exemplary role of teachers, the cultivation of discipline, the integration of knowledge, faith, and action, as well as the purification of the soul. Its implications include the formulation of educational goals oriented toward the formation of civilized individuals, the integration of a tauhid-based curriculum, the strengthening of the teacher’s role as a moral exemplar, and the development of teaching methods and evaluations that balance intellectual, spiritual, and ethical dimensions.
