Abstract

Educational transformation in the digital era demands improved teacher competency, particularly in pedagogical aspects, which are the main foundation of the learning process. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has launched the Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) Platform as an adaptive and flexible learning and self-development medium for teachers. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) Platform, obstacles, and solutions implemented by schools at State Junior High School 25 Sarolangun. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification and conclusion. The results show that the implementation of the Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) Platform is an effective tool in improving teacher pedagogical competency at State Junior High School 25 Sarolangun. The Continuous Learning feature facilitates teachers to access independent training and participate in the community, which allows teachers to continue learning and developing. The Career and Performance feature provides a means for teachers to conduct self-reflection and manage performance in a more structured manner. Meanwhile, the Learning Inspiration feature provides teaching tools, practical ideas, and video examples that are very helpful for teachers in designing innovative and interesting learning methods.
