ANALISIS SISTEM PENDIDIKAN MENURUT SYED NAQUIB AL-ATTAS; KONSEP, PRINSIP DAN RELEVANSINYA DALAM PENDIDIKAN KONTEMPORER

Education is a fundamental element in the life of the community and the nation to realize national ideals. Therefore, the education system must be managed in a directed manner to produce knowledgeable, civilized, and moral individuals. This study aims to examine the concept of education according to Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and analyze its relevance to the national education system in Indonesia by providing suggestions for reconstruction so that it is relevant to the current implementation of the Indonesian curriculum. This research uses a qualitative approach with library research, namely examining primary and secondary works related to al-Attas' thought. The results of the study show that al-Attas is an Islamic thinker who places the concept of ta'd?b (adab) as the main basis of education. So this article is expected to be able to form a paradigm that is relevant to the reality of contemporary Islamic education today by slightly reconstructing his thoughts as a form of relevance to the education system and the current generation.
